Dear Community,We are excited to finally release the long-awaited videoconferencing feature for interview creation in Personio. Through integrations with Zoom, MS Teams, Google Meet, and GoToMeeting, you can now create videoconferencing links for interviews directly in Personio while scheduling a new interview.How does it work?Before you can use this feature, you need to have an established company calendar integration with Personio via Cronofy and set up the integrations with the videoconferencing providers. Once you are an authenticated user, you can go into a candidate profile in the Recruiting section, schedule a new interview, and select your videoconferencing tool from the Interview method. A link to the video call will be created which will be stored in the interview tab of the candidate profile, and will be sent in the interview invitation to the interviewers.What are the benefits? You will no longer need to schedule video interviews outside of Personio and copy and paste videoconferencing links manually in interview invitations. This will streamline your interview management process and consolidate the entire task, together with related information, in the candidate profile in Personio. Avoid errors and save time during the scheduling of interviews. Dear Community,We know that searching for a specific piece of information within an employee profile can sometimes be a bit time-consuming.That is why we have redesigned the employee’s profile header to include a summary of the employee’s most important data: Position, Department, Team, Office, Supervisor, Hire date and Tenure.This allows you to quickly locate the employee’s key information without having to scroll through their Personal info tab. Dear Community,Have you ever handled custom reports in Personio, and wished that you could share a single report without giving access to the whole Custom reports section through access rights? We got you.You can now share an individual custom report with only a few clicks and directly from the report itself, so that employees can only see that specific custom report.The new functionality includes: A new button (Reports > Custom Reports > [Any report] > Sharing options) within each custom report that allows you to open the sharing window. A new Sharing options window that allows you to search for the employees you want to share the custom report with. It also allows you to remove their access at any time. The header of each custom report will now change to reflect that the custom report is being shared. This information will also appear in the custom reports overview. Only administrators can share custom reports via the Sharing options window and see the employees a report has been shared with. Dear Community,We have good news for those of you who need to track their absences in hours to comply with the local or company standards!We have improved our absence management functionality, and it now allows you to track employee absences either in hours or in days, depending on your business needs.Absence tracking in hours allows you to easily track partial-day absences, such as a two-hour absence for a medical appointment.However, it also allows you to track full-day and multi-day absences, such as an eight-hour paid vacation absence. This enables you to track all your absences in hours if needed, and to know at any given time how many hours of paid vacation an employee has left for the year.The update includes the following new options: Create absence types tracked in hours through the settings, by selecting Hours as the unit of time. Set access rights for the absence types tracked in hours, so that employees can request and approve them. Create one or more accrual policies for the absence types tracked in hours, and assign them to the employees. Create custom reports that include absences types tracked in hours. Dear Community,We have released our new Global Task Management feature. With Global Task Management, all tasks and notifications display in a centrally located Inbox. This allows all users, from administrators to employees, to access and work through their notifications and tasks from anywhere in Personio.The Inbox as seen by an administrator:With this release, the following functionalities will become available: Employees can access their tasks and notifications from every area in Personio via the new Inbox. Notifications, for example reminders for birthdays, will be relocated to the Inbox and will no longer be displayed in the section My tasks on the Dashboard. The widget My tasks on the Dashboard has been renamed Tasks. Users can now exclusively access their tasks, for example approval requests, from the Tasks widget. The display of tasks for onboarding/offboarding processes has been revised. Dear Community,We are continuously working on improving your user experience. This is why we have restructured the Personio Settings menu to clearly highlight our People Workflows and to allow you to quickly navigate between the different menu categories. These are the implemented updates: We have clustered and ordered the existing menu items under these new categories for an improved experience: Organization and People, Recruiting, Workflows, Integrations, Work Hours and Absences, Payroll, Performance, and Support. You can now find Approvals and On-/Offboarding under the category Workflows. That's because the Interview Tab and the Message Tab got a fresh new design!Here's what’s changed: Message Tab Redesign We have made the following User Interface improvements: Better difference between comments and messages. Direct error message in case an email cannot be delivered. Clearer indication that a scheduled message will be sent later. Furthermore, there are some new functionalities: Possibility to delete an inbound message. Virus check for all outgoing messages. Interview Tab Redesign Our Personio interview scheduling functionality allows you to check the interviewers’ availability through a calendar integration, and schedule candidate interviews directly within Personio.As this feature has been around for some time already, our Product Team has decided to improve the user interface and make it more intuitive. To save you clicks and create a clearer picture of the candidate’s interview status, more details and the evaluations of each interview are now displayed directly in the overview. We also created an option to see a daily view in the calendar of the Find a slot in the calendar functionality to improve the view of busy calendars.New functionalities are also planned here for the coming months: by popular request, we will give you the possibility to schedule video calls via Zoom or MS Teams directly within the Interview tab! Here is a recap of what’s new and what we improved, for an always better experience.🚀 NEW: To help you easily share feedback with an employee, you can now use the Export function. In the Performance tab of an employee, enter any feedback form and click on the Export button. There, you can download as a PDF or export the feedback directly in the employee’s Documents tab in just a few seconds. 🌟 IMPROVED: Employees receiving feedback and their supervisor are now receiving an email notification when new feedback is published. This way, you can easily track your employees’ performance and never miss important information. For more details on the functionalities, have a look at our article on Performance feedback. Performance comments are now performance notes! Add and read performance notes directly in the Performance tab of each employee. Those notes are only be visible to supervisors and HR team members. Dear Community,Are you using integrations with Personio? Then this one is for you! We have worked on simplifying your experience while drastically improve the security of your data. From now on, you can: Generate separate API credentials for each new integration you set up with the Marketplace. When requesting new credentials, the previous ones will no longer be deactivated. No need to store the credentials on your computer, you can easily access the list of all your credentials directly in Settings > API credentials If you want to pause the information exchange between Personio and the integration, simply toggle it off. When you want to re-enable the integration, just toggle it back on! For more information, have a look at our help center article on to generate and manage new API credentials.
Dear Community,We have great news for you, especially for those of you who work in an international environment. The long-awaited international domain name extension .com for the Personio career page is now available! This means you now have the possibility to change the domain extension of your Personio career page from .de to .com. A .com domain will support an international brand identity, especially for companies or subcompanies that are based outside Germany. In addition to that, it will help you attract international talent, and improve your career page’s SEO. Dear Community,It is very important for us to give you as much independence and flexibility as possible. That is why we are happy to finally give you the opportunity to edit the job description of external job postings directly in your Personio account without having to request external help! Just go to the position details of the respective job, edit the job description in all languages, and confirm that you want these changes to be published. This will make your changes live on the Personio career page. To also publish these changes on your external job boards, you just have to go to the Promotion tab, check if your selected external job boards can be edited, and submit the change request.This new feature is not only a real time saver, but makes your job posting process even more transparent and flexible.You can find more information about how to edit Personio job postings on external job boards in our Help Center.Best,Your Community Team
Dear Community,We know that managing your recruiting process can be tough, especially if you involve international candidates. We worked on simplifying your experience by offering you a new way to deal with candidates attributes, and to translate them easily through the settings.Introducing candidate attribute types you can now implement dropdowns for custom attributes and let the application choose from a list of options. This improves not only the user experience of your candidates, but also gives you a better reporting possibility. Moreover, you can now add the gender attribute to you career pages which allows you to use the gender variable in automatic email responders. You can learn about it in this Help Center Article. Here is a list with the changes: The Tags and Attributes tabs have been decoupled, making it easier to set up. For each custom candidate attribute you create, you can now enter a translation into up to 7 languages. As the candidate attributes are now translated, the candidate profile in the Recruiting section will automatically appear in the same language the user has set in their Personio account (or in the default language, in case no translation exists for that language). As the candidate attributes are now translated, the application form available in the career page will also appear in the candidates' preferred language. You can now select among different types of attributes (text, list of options, date). You can now add the gender attribute to the application form available in the career page. This allows you to safely and seamlessly send and receive payroll data between Personio and DATEV and automate your payroll processes.Here are the main new functionalities for the DATEV integration with Lohn und Gehalt: Generate the DATEV export under Payroll > Generate export so you can download it and send it to your accountant. Authorize and use the Lohnimportdatenservice to send personnel data to DATEV and the Lohnauswertungsdatenservice to receive payslips directly in Personio. Dear Community,As part of the ongoing improvements to the Performance management experience, we have been working on facilitating how you can write Performance feedback, with new types of scales answers to include in your form Templates. Binary questions: Limit the choice to 2 options from which the evaluator will be able to choose. Traffic lights: Thanks to color coding, view at a glance how your employee performs. Rating Scales: You can now set a scale with 3 to 5 options for more nuanced performance ratings. Dear Community,In recruiting, it is important to have clear and transparent candidate communications. We enabled this via specific recruiting email addresses for subcompanies. Our next release goes one step further with the function to configure separate Personio career pages for subcompanies which you can brand individually according to your company’s corporate design.If you have subcompanies enabled in your account and use the recruiting function, you can now navigate to settings > recruiting > career page and enable the new subcompany career pages via the drop-down menu. These are the new functions: Create a Personio career page for each subcompany. Brand each Personio career page individually so that it matches the style of the subcompany. Publish positions on the respective Personio career page of the subcompany as well as the parent company. Dear community,Entering the same attendance day after day is a thing of the past, because we now have a new feature for you:Copy hours !Now you and your employees can easily copy recurring working hours for the current month. This means: Working hours, breaks, comments and projects of any day can be copied either to all other working days or to certain weekdays of the whole month.To do this, simply hover over the cell of a specific day in the calendar and click on the "Copy Hours" icon in the top right corner. Dear Community,due to popular request, the Orgchart comes with a new logic and a revamped design!From now on, you can access and use the updated Orgchart view in the Employee overview section.The Orgchart view offers an overview of the hierarchical structures in your company. It displays all internal and external employees with basic information in status active and leave, depending on the access rights the viewer has. Employees will only see the organizational structure to which they have access to. The Orgchart view is filterable and you can search for employees as well as navigate and zoom within the tree. You can also export either the entire or a filtered version of the Orgchart view in different formats. Dear Community, a new section is now available in the dashboard - "Today's Time Tracking"! This allows you to register your working hours for the day directly from the Dashboard, without having to navigate to the Attendance tab in Personio.Simply click on the text field to enter a numeric value for each start and end time, and once submitted, Personio will automatically generate a time entry for that day within the Attendance tab calendar view. Work time and break time will need to be entered separately, and Personio will then automatically deduct one from the other depending on the predefined break rules.
