I’m starting this thread so we can all talk about one of our favourite topics - holidays! 
I just got back from my summer vacation and had wonderful two weeks in Portugal. It went by car down the coast from Porto to the Algarve.

My highlights in Portugal:
Lisbon: The whole city is just great!
Pastéis de Nata: Super delicious little tarts. In Lisbon's Belém district you can find the most delicious ones. The ones in the Café Pastéis de Belém are still baked according to the original recipe from 1837 and served warm.
Praia do Zavial: Beautiful beach, especially at low tide. Generally the corner around Sagres is beautiful (but windy). You can also see the coast of Sagres in the picture above, which was at Cabo de São Vincente (= "The End of the World").
I can only recommend Portugal, it was really great!
