Dear All,

If anyone has prior experience with adjusting holiday entitlement periods from calendar year to different period, could you please share your ideas with me?

We need to change the entitlement period to from Jan-Dec to Aug-July as Turkey has a different period.

Dear @Csilla,

Thank you very much for your sharing your first contribution with the community 🥳! I want to apologize for answering to your post just on this moment. We normally make our best to answer all inquiries after 24 hours, but this time we missed your post. Don’t worry, we will make sure this doesn’t happen again!

On the moment, there is unfortunately no way to set your Accrual policies to start from a different date than the beginning of the year, or the employees’ hire date. You can undertake this task manually by doing the following:

  1. Adding a new Absence type with no limited carryover. 👉🏼 Help center article: How to add a new absence type.
  2. Adding an Accrual policy of 0 days to the Absence type. There should also be no proration for the beginning or ending of the absence. 👉🏼 Help center article: Configuring accrual policies.
  3. You can then assign the accrual policy through the employee list (this requires the add-on productivity plus). 👉🏼 Help center article: Bulk editing in the Employee list.
  4. Finally, you can undertake an accrual balance import for the 1st of August. 👉🏼 Help center article: Import absence balance in bulk.

If your employees are allowed to carryover days to the next holiday period, there are further steps to undertake. Please let me know if this is the case, to share with you further indications.

Another user has shared the need for this functionality in our ideation area:

As you can see, our product team is already planing to implement this feature in Personio 🙌🏽! Don’t forget to vote for the idea in order to be informed whenever it is released.

You can always vote for any suggestion of improvement you have regarding Personio in our ideation area. If the idea wasn’t published yet, you can of course post it yourself so that it is shared with our product team.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can support you with!

I wish you an amazing afternoon ☀️.

Best,

Andrea
