Notification about an absence - Notification workflow
Hi there,
I was wondering if there is a way to set up the notification work flow in particular for absences?
Example cases:
Employee is sick and reports the same to HR via Personio. Supervisor does not need to approve the absence, but it would be good to know about it.
Employee hands in holiday request, Supervisor approves. HR does not need to give approval, but would like to be informed about it by e-mail.
Looking forward to your feedback!
Frederike

Hi @FrederikeE,
for your usecase a separate functionality does not exist at the moment, but I do have a workaround that maybe could work for you.
In the employee roles you can remind, e.g. the supervisors, about the next absence of an employee of their team. In your specific case, you can set up a reminder that gets pushed after an HR professional accepted the absence request that the supervisor does to need to approve.
Here is a screenshot with the configuration:
Potentially this already helps?
Best wishes Marc
Hi @Marc,
Thanks for the speedy response. I think this can work for the Sick Day example. I’ve set it up to try out.
However, I don’t think this works for the HR use case (highlighted below).
I think, it would be helpful to have an overview somewhere in the backend, where you can manage the notification workflow more easily :)
Best,
Frederike

Hi @Marc ,
That’s a good idea, shall I open a new post or can you transfer this one?
Also, an update on the second use case with HR. I found a workaround by setting up an absence reminder for HR for 56 weeks before an absence. They got a lot of reminders for the upcoming absences at once on the first day of setting this up, but now they simply receive a reminder when a new absence is approved.
Have a good weekend,
Frederike
Hi @FrederikeE,
nice workaround!
In this case, I would recommend creating a new idea so every can see easily your specific suggestions. :)
Have a nice day Marc
