Dear community, dear personio,

First of all, we love personio!!❤️ However, as this platform can be used for sharing/voting for ideas to improve processes and efficiency: our staff usually starts/ finishes their business trips on weekends*, and we give compensation days back in return (half or full days). Right now, employees have to send an email to HR to request days back but it would be so much easier if staff could directly claim it via personio (e.g. with opportunity to upload their flight booking as proof).

Is there anyone else who would benefit from such function integrated in personio?🙂

Warm regards,

Evelyn

*Why weekends?: because in our case we mostly have long-distance flights (Africa) and employees use the weekdays fully on side to make the most out of the long trip.

Hi @Evelyn,

From what I understand you would like for employees to be able to convert overtime to Compensation time.
This is possible by giving the employees Edit rights to Attendance data, unfortunately if we give employees Edit rights to Attendance data no approval workflow will take place.
Settings > Employee roles > relevant Employee role > Access rights > Attendance data > Edit: Own.

Please be aware that by giving this access right employees will be able to also change of Work Schedule.
Here you will find more information regarding: Access rights.

I would encourage you to send this idea/feedback/suggestion through the new ‘Give feedback’ feature directly in your Personio account. Submissions will be forwarded directly to the relevant product teams. You can find more information in this community post.

If there is an update in this area, you will be informed through our Personio Product Updates or via an in-app notification.

Have a lovely day!

Best,

Sofia

Hi - seconding this suggestion (will add my +1 if/when it’s shared in Ideation!).

We don’t use Personio’s time tracking feature, so don’t have a sensible way to apply overtime accrued/TOIL taken back. We are using an absence type as a work around, but Supervisors have to email HR to request the hours be added to the absence total, which is clunky...

Hi @HRJoy,

In that case you can give employees access rights in order for them to be able to add extra days to the entitlement of employees.

This access you can grant them by going to Settings > Employee roles > Employee role: All employees > Access rights > Configurations > Absence: All.

With this setup the employee will be able to add extra days to their entitlement. Please be aware that by giving these access rights the employees can make changes in all Absence types and in the Absence types profiles of all employees.

Another possibility is to give this access right only to supervisor, but also please be aware that they will be able to make changes (changing accrual policy or adding extra days to entitlement) to all Absence types.

Best,

Sofia
