Hello Community,

To all those who look after several - sometimes international - companies via Personio. How do you regulate absences? Do you define your own absence types for the other companies?

I just found out that the types cannot be translated and so far the types were only created in German and then within a German absence type a new accrual policy was created for the foreign company.

This is inconvenient in many respects, as the employees of the foreign company do not see their absences in their language. In addition, they see all absence types that are configured for the German locations, although it is completely uninteresting to them.

How do you deal with this?

Hi @SWeuster,

in the employee roles, you can select which absence type specific employees can see in their profile.

So in this case, you could create and individual role for each country, as well as a specific absence type for each country and then assign only the specific roles the access rights to the individual absence.

If one absence type could be used for several countries, you could use the English term or enter a translation in the title, like Vacation/Urlaub.

I hope this already give a hint in a useful direction.

Best wishes
Marc
