Hi

We have freelancers working with us in different countries. If they want to take a vacation during public holidays of our HQ country Personio doesn’t count that in as a paid vacation day.

Not sure I made this clear.

Hey @NatiLal

Welcome to the Personio Community, we are thrilled to see you here 🎊 🥳. I am happy to support you with your inquiry.

This problem is caused by incorrect validity settings within the absence settings. At the moment from what I gather, you have not selected the ‘Work schedule including public holidays’ option for these employees meaning that leave taken on public holidays do not count as absence days. To fix this you will either need to change the current validity settings for this absence type or create a new absence type for these freelancers. To guide you on how to set this up and the explanations of the different options, here is our guide on how to Define the Range of Absence Types (Valid On)

If you run into any difficulties with these changes, please let me know.

Have a wonderful day ☘️

Best,

Conor
