Rounding up vacation balance

Yes, after we migrate our absences tracked in days to a new, more flexible and high-performing system, you have different options to rounding the absence entitlement 👏🏼 The new functionality Rounding Rules allows you to configure whether or not uneven yearly entitlement will be rounded. You are now be able to choose between:

• No rounding
• Rounding up to the next whole number when .5 or above
• Rounding up to the nearest half number
• Rounding up to the nearest whole number

Please note, that it will not continuously round the complete absence balance, but only be applied to the entitlements that are granted to the employee on a yearly basis. For more information about this topic, you can visit our Help Center article: New features for absences tracked in days in 2023.

To set this up you have to navigate to Settings > Work Hours and Absences > Absences and in the type of absence you will have to Add new accrual policy where you can add the settings about the Rounding Rules. You can now assign the accrual policy to the employees from the Start of the current period. Please be aware that if you assign it from the Hire date, for example, any change will be applied retroactively.
