Hi everyone,

I’m facing a challenge with the "Validity On" section in Time Off, as it restricts us from configuring different leave policies for different countries. For example, in some countries, annual leave is calculated based on calendar days, while in others, it’s based on working days.

Ideally, this setting should be moved from the "Type" field to the "Add New Accrual Policy" section to allow for better international policy management. Right now, users see numerous leave types that are irrelevant to their country (e.g., a user in Zambia might see leave types meant for Ukraine).

Has anyone found a workaround for this, or is there an update planned to improve this functionality?

Looking forward to your insights!

Hi Hayal,

I agree it would be nice to have more of the absence settings in the accrual policy instead of the absence policy.

We’ve currently created different absence policies for our different entities, e.g. DE Vacation or FR Vacation. As an HR admin you will see all the different absence policies, but for the users you can restrict the view with different roles. If you create different employee roles e.g. DE Employees and FR Employees, you can give the permission to view only the absence policies relevant to them.

Hope this helps!

BR,

Kaisa

Kaisa,

Thank you for the experience you shared. When I do it this way, the number of roles increases. When there are more than 10 entities, the roles become too crowded.

But thank you—right now, this seems to be the only way out.

Best Regards,

Hayal

Hi Hayal,

We work with 9 different entities at the moment. Most of the normal employee role access rights are managed by a role call “Employees All”. We only manage some role access rights, like the regional absences or regionally required payroll/HR information through the additional roles to keep it simple.

Kaisa
