our goal is to simplify your HR processes. In order to do so, we would like to share our best practices for the usage of document templates with you.

To make the best use of document templates, there are some important points to consider!

Fonts & Formatting

Placeholders

  • plan enough space for placeholders (placeholders often need less space than the content that is put in place - example: {{position}} → Associate Customer Service Manager)
  • :bulb: Tip: if you can’t find the correct wording of your custom placeholders, you can go to Settings > On-/Offboarding > Onboarding Steps and check for an email action the database name of your custom attribute e.g. {{dynamic_2222892}} (see screenshot). Use this placeholder then for your document template

General

  • check out our Do's and Don'ts (screenshot)
  • we recommend to use OpenOffice or LibreOffice for the creation of the document template
