Contract end dates in Events Calendar

Hi!

Is there a way to add the ‘Contract ends’ attribute date to the Events Calendar. I can’t seem to find this?

This is helpful when planning contract renewals, and helps mitigate and risks of team members looking for other contracts. Seeing this in calendar view would be really helpful (rather than just an email reminder).

Hi @bailey !

Unfortunately, there is currently no way to customize the Events Calendar to include Contract ends. You have the option of showing hire and termination dates, but not Contract ends.

As you’ve mentioned, you can set up a reminder workflow for this attribute, as it is date-based.

But, if you really want to be able to visualize this date in the calendar, you can try the following workaround. ⬇

  1. Create a new absence type called Contract ends. No accrual policy required.
  2.  Go into an employee’s Absence tab and click on the date in the calendar that their contract is due to end. Add absence Contract ends for this day.
  3. Go to the relevant employee role (i.e. manager) and click on Calendars. Select Contract ends absence type and choose the relevant access.

Although this can seem like a lot of work, you can always do an absence period import to add these contract end dates to the employees’ absence tabs.
What do you think? Could this work for you?
In the meantime, you can share your idea with others in our Ideation section. That way, other users can vote on your suggestion.
Take care!
