Are employees allowed to update their information in the system? For example, can an employee update their home address, birthdate, bank information, etc? If so, how do they update this information?

Your employees can change the information in their profiles if they have the correct access rights under Settings > People > Employee roles > [Corresponding Employee role] > Access rights > Personal data:
