I am keen to use the electronic document function for our upcoming review process.  in order to get the new salary into the letters it needs to be in the system.

I want people to find out what their new salary is from their manager in a conversation not by seeing it in the system !

How do people manage this, do you lock people out of Personio, whilst it happens or do you lock them out of that view for the period...is there a better way to do it??

Hi - not here with an answer, but more just to say that we have a similar conundrum currently!

We currently carry out our salary review process outside of Personio, including the the creation and sending of the confirmation letter to the employee. The employee’s salary in Personio is only updated once the line manager has sent them the letter confirming the increase (copying HR), so we can be 100% that they are aware of the new salary before we update it in Personio.

I know that Personio do have a paid-for Compensation module, which could help with this process - however, the Compensation module is really too much for us - we don’t have multiple approval levels, or salary budgets for line managers to allocate  - just a flat % increase - and our salary reviews happen throughout the year (in each employee’s anniversary month), rather than all happening in one or two company-wide cycles.

It would be great to have some kind of ‘Compensation Lite’ option, to resolve some of these issues...

Hi @fmason,

A possible other solution is to just restrict the Salary tab for a certain time period until the changes have been communicated. At least that’s how we do it.

Within the employee roles, we then delete the Salary Tab access to all employees and then add it again once the deadline has passed and everyone is informed.

hi @SabbuSchreiber thank you.  this is really helpful
