Dear Community,

we have a Team that has two Supervisors, one of them disciplinary and one of them functional. For now, the disciplinary one is submitted as “Supervisor” for the Team in Personio. The functional one can not see the vacation and other leaves of their reports and we’re trying to find a workaround to change that. We’re aware that it is currently not possible to assign two Supervisors to one person, is there any other way we can give the functional supervisor access to only their reports?

We thought about using an attribute, but we don’t really want to introduce one only for this use case. Do you have any best practices or similiar cases and how do you treat them?

Thanks for your input and best!

Hey @EQ_CP

The only way this would be possible would be by creating a new role and using a common attribute for all the people you want to give access to.

Would they all be in the same department or team? If so, you could filter that way, if not you would need to create a new one to filter by.

Alternatively, if the people who have X person as the functional supervisor, all have the same disciplinary supervisor, you could filter by supervisor for the role?

I hope this helps!

Hi @EQ_CP ,

For the moment, the options @People Person mentioned are the best way. However, I can share with you that we are working on a functionality that makes it possible to add additional supervisors for one employee! We do not have a clear ETA yet, but this option should be coming soon. So be on the lookout for that, it will hopefully make your life a lot easier.

Best
Jana

Hey Zoe,

thanks so much for the input, those are really good alternatives and we will probably go with the extra attribute.

And also thanks to Jana - looking very much forward to that new feature!

Best and have a lovely holiday season!
