"access_denied" error - Calendar Integrations (Google)

Hello,

We tried to add the Google Calendar Integration, but Personio keeps giving the error of “access_denied”. I have checked the forums and found out that you need to have an admin right to be able to do so. Even after having the access right, we still get the same error. Any tips on how to solve this problem?

You are exactly correct in that this error message of ‘access denied’ usually pops up when the prerequisites for the setup of the Calendar Integration are not met. 

To set up the integration, you need to ensure that you are both:

  • Administrator on the Personio account
  • Administrator of the Company Calendar account.

If you are still experiencing these issues after meeting these requirements, I would always suggest asking another Administrator to try it from their account. It only needs one employee with both these rights to enable the Calendar Integration. Therefore if it does not work for you please give these Administrator rights temporarily to another employee to allow it to be activated.
