I want to create API credentials for a custom integration. I followed the steps of this article:

https://support.personio.de/hc/en-us/articles/4404623630993-Generate-and-manage-API-credentials

When I go to custom integrations there is no button to “Create custom integration” so I’m a bit lost on what to do.

Hi @Björn from FLOWIT

I forwarded this concern to the Helpcenter Team, and they let me know that you would need to be an Admin or have the right access rights to API and Marketplace (All admins should have this). The Helpcenter team will add a short note about the access rights needed to the article to clarify this.

Hope this helps!
Lucie

Hi @Lucie B

Thank you for the help. That was what I suspected. The strange thing is that I am an Administrator, so I don’t get why I shouldn’t be able to create a custom integration. When I go to Settings > Employee Roles, I’am an Administrator and as far as I understand this role has all the possible rights someone can have. There is also no way to change any access rights for this role. So what should I do?

All the best,

Björn

Hi @Björn from FLOWIT

I’m just a community admin myself, so I hope another user will be able to help, or maybe support will be able to respond to this. Hope you have a nice weekend in the meantime!

Hi @Lucie B,

Is there a solution to this topic already? I suffer from the same issue, having admin rights but no button for creating custom credentials.

Best,
Katrin

Hey @Björn from FLOWIT & @Twist

To be able to create API credentials for custom integrations (Access to the public API), you would need the package Core Pro.

The Core Pro plan includes all the features in Core, plus the following additional features:

Features

People information

Workflow automation

Access and permissions

More on packages can be read here: https://support.personio.de/hc/en-us/articles/11149358090653-Overview-of-Personio-plans-and-apps

I suggest reaching out to your Account Manager to see if the Core Pro package makes sense for you and to get informations on costs.

Best,

Eliah

Hey @Eliah W

Thank you for clarifying. Have there been any changes in features for the Core Plan?
Because I was able to set up a custom integration a couple of months ago.

All the best,
Björn

Hi @Björn from FLOWIT There have been changes in the past regarding our packaging structure.

As you might remember, before the packages were names Essential, Professional, and Enterprise.

At a point, it was possible to create custom integrations with the Professional Plan (now named Core), but it was decided to move this option to the highest tier (Core Pro). With the Core package, our customers can use the vast offerings of our marketplace with 250+ integrations.

Best,

Eliah
