Hi Personio,

I sencierly love your UI! My personal UX as employee is amazingly easy.

I wish there would be an API for myself. It would save me 1 min per day.

 

It took me 1h to fill 40 workdays attendance. The single source of truth was a smart plug (attached to home assistant). Quick googling, and I found an integration which would save me the 1 min per day. Sadly, the Integration needs a company API client ID & secret. I don’t need to access anything outside myself. Therefore, a private API key would be awesome.

 

The change would have the following positive impact on my work-life:

  1. create a personal API key / webhook
  2. integrate this in a home assistant automation
  3. never do manual attendance again
  4.  
  5. profit (= more time to do work)

I’m glad to see that you like our UI and your experience as employee is great! Happy to see the excitement! 🚀

What you are asking is, currently, not possible. We only support company-wide API credentials that would grant theoretical access to other's attendances as well. 

I can understand why this would be useful, and I would like to encourage you to post this suggestion of improvement in our Ideation area. This way, other users will be able to vote for it, and the suggestion will be shared with our Product Team.

In order for us to fully understand your idea, I share with you a couple of questions that your description should clarify when posting in the ideation area:

  • What would you like to achieve with Personio? What issue do you need to solve?

  • Why? What would be the added value for you?

  • How are you solving it right now?

The more details, the better! However, remember not to share any personal or business data with the public.

Make sure to add the link to the idea in this thread, so that other users that find your question can upvote it 💪🏼
