Does anyone know ?

I want to have the sender  email, from an email that is not linked to any employee.

I want the sender to be a general email from a shared box email, how do I set  this up in personio?

Hi @Luisa !

There is a quick workaround for this. 🙌🏼
Create a new employee via the Employee List, fill in the required fields (first name, last name, employment type), and then add the shared email address. The name of the “employee” can be anything that you want, just keep in mind that this profile will be visible on the Org Chart.

Then, you can select this “employee” as the sender for your onboarding email.

However, your question is very pertinent - I encourage you to share it with us in the Ideation section of the Community. 🎁 That way, other users can vote for your idea and our Product Team will be able to see which suggestions are valuable to our users.

Hi,

yeah, this is in my opinion an interim workaround, not a real solution. As you mentioned this “fake” employee will show on the orgchart - not a very professional thing then?

Why are you asking us users to rewrite the question again in your ideation section. I think it´s part of customer service to work with product to make things better?

Best,

Sandra

Hi @SanLi,

I am sorry if Personio does not offer a suitable solution for you for this topic. Megan’s solution is the best available possibility at the moment to solve your inquiry.

We encourage users to use our ideation area for any feedback or suggestion of improvement, since it is an open space in which you can have more transparency about your feedback. You can for example see how many users would find your proposed improvement useful and be informed if it is released. Furthermore, Ideation allows you as a user to communicate with our product team directly, also taking part of beta tests or interviews with the team. This enables the product team to understand the needs of our customers much better.

When you contact our support team via Find Answers, the support specialists might share your feedback internally depending on several aspects such as the topic, or the specific details of the feature insight. Nevertheless, the common practice is for our users to share with us all the details and use cases of their suggestions for improvement. In the Community, users always share their feedback themselves through ideation to make it an open suggestion that any other user can see and complement.

Thank you for your understanding and for sharing with us how we can make our product better.

I wish you a lovely day ☀️.

Best,

Andrea
