We are looking into setting up Personio’s Slack integration. However, among our internal processes is an approval from the legal department. They have raised the following question:
The documentation says: “This feature allows you to have your status automatically updated based on your absences. You can define whether the absence type (e.g. paid or sick leave) should be included in the status or not.”
If we decide NOT to show the absence type (i.e. we only want to see someone is unavailable, we don’t want to see whether they are on a paid or a sick leave), will Slack still receive information about the type of absence, even though it does not display it?
Ergo, if we do not agree to show absence type in a Slack status, will Slack still receive this data (just not display it)? Or does Slack not receive this data at all?
