Hi,

When I send out invitations through the training module the calendar invites in outlook have the reminder defaulted to ‘do not remind me’, this can be amended within the invite once accepted, but it seems like an oversight.

It has caused us issues with employees missing calls because they haven’t had the reminder from Outlook due to the default settings.

Any chance this could be updated?

I have submitted it as feedback, but wanted to see if this is already something that’s been flagged.

Thanks,

Lucy

I’ve immediately fainted from this pressure. As soon as I’m conscious again, I’ll have an answer for you 😂

All jokes aside, I think seeing Lucy’s question yesterday put me in a “that’s it, I’m finding this out for myself” state of mind!

Hi y’all!

So, I’ve been discussing with my very helpful colleagues in our Engineering team and it does seem to be a bit of a limitation with outlook. We tried it with google calendar and it works just fine, so it looks like it’s something specific to sending out training invites via Outlook. At the moment, there doesn’t seem to be a way around this other than, as @HRHappiness mentioned, to just have the reminder setting amended after invitation.

Along with your submission as feedback, I’ve tried my best to call attention to it among my Engineering and Product colleagues. I wish I had a better answer for you, but here’s hoping that rather manual work around can work while we wait for this to be updated!

Thanks for doing some digging Moe - good old Outlook…! It would be great if a more technical solution could be found, but in the meantime we’ll carry on working around it.

Just here seconding what @HRJoy has said. Thanks @Moe really appreciate you looking into it.
