Plans to support hybrid identity (aka provisioning to onpremises Active Directory)?

According to the section “Current Limitations...” in this article Azure Active Directory – Personio

the integration with (Azure) Active Directory is currently limited to pure cloud(-only) environments.

Most likely many customers are still running AD onprem and syncing it with Azure AD. In such cases (according to this article: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/app-provisioning/plan-cloud-hr-provision) the so called Azure AD Connect Provisioning Agent can be used to provision accounts from the HR app to Active Directory which is subsequently synced to Azure AD. Typically there is a second component syncing back email addresses and other attributes to HR.

Are there any plans to implement this functionality?

Hi @azitc

thanks for your patience and a happy new year! 🤗

As you already know, we do not support Azure AD onprem solutions and we are currently not planning to extend this. However, one of our partners does. With e2mod you can have an integration between Azure AD onprem and Personio.

Please have look into our Marketplace, maybe this is an option you wanna consider:

I hope my answer was helpful to you! 😊
