Is there a way in Personio, or another good workaround, to create a blacklist of candidates who the company or employees had a negative enough experience in the past with, to make sure they aren’t hired / considered in the future? We had a few cases of candidates being rude, disrespectful, misogynistic, blowing up when rejected, or other big red flags, and encountered a few times that they move forward to the first hiring stage because another recruiter didn’t know, and we want to limit this risk in the future. Any suggestions welcome!

Hi @HRtichoke,

You can easily identify when the same candidate applies to different roles. If a candidate has applied for more than one job (using the same email address), a warning will be displayed in the application. If you click on Multiple jobsyou will see the following:

  • A list of all the jobs the candidate has applied for.
  • The application date.
  • The stage the candidate is currently in for the corresponding job.
  • The disqualification reason (if applicable).

This way, you can easily identify if the candidate is currently in another open process, or why a candidate was disqualified from a process. You can also attach specific tags to candidates. Tags allow you to efficiently identify selected candidates.

You will find further information on this in our Help Center article:

A list like you mention, is not something available in the product and I do not foresee it in the future due to employment laws.

Hope this information is helpful and wishing you a nice day. 😀

Best,

Steve
