Hi, Is anyone able to help with the below? I’ve managed to add out contract as a template but I’m encoutering an issue when it comes it to the date placeholder for signature. When sending it out a contract we send it to the manager to sign before sending it to candidate to sign. the issue is when a manager signs and dates it (let’s say they date is 03/12/2024) and then the candidate signs, it still shows the original date that the manager signed it instead of updating it for whatever date the candidate signed it even if it’s days later?

hello @AmandaMasuku !
I think you mixed up the placeholders.
Maybe you can just add, THE Signature for Partner as
@@Partner@@
-- -- -- --- --- --- --- ---
@@DateANDPlace@@
But only if you want it to be digitally signed.
((Please Understand that Spaces and symbols are not allowed in the signature template, i.e @@Date & Place@@, where we have space and symbol &))
Else you can simply make it like,
________________
(Signature)
_________________
(Date & Place)
And get it signed normally without any need of E signature.
I hope that helps, I also look forward to other responses.
Hi @TheGentlemanTD
thanks for the above. the placeholders that I have do work (please see below). the issue is when I send it for signature it will generate the correct date. if the candidate doesn’t sign it until later (for example on the 6th of December) it doesn’t update the date for the applicant signature and so just stays the 3.12.2024 for example.
from your suggestion it wouldn’t allow me to select the same person for the sigature as well as the date
Hi @AmandaMasuku,
The placeholder @@xyz#date@@ indeed enters the date on which the document was sent for signature, independent of a signer.
If you want to add custom date entries, you would need to use the ##city placeholder. This placeholder allows you to enter anything, including a date. Therefore, the best practice for place and date is to have two ##city placeholders, at least for now. You can find more context on placeholders here.
Best Jana
