According to https://www.personio.com/hr-lexicon/recruitment-tools/, Personio allows you to “search large numbers of CVs in a few minutes or less”, but I am struggling to find this search feature. We often need to be able to search through all CVs - eg you see a phrase in an applicant’s CV and think “I remember seeing something similar in another applicant’s CV the other week”. Is there a way to do this?
Hi
Personio allows you to search a large number of CVs in a few minutes or less by using CV Parsing. CV Parsing is a function that allows you to automatically analyze and save the information contained in a resume. You can process up to 25 candidate profiles at the same time. A preview will be created for each candidate, allowing you to assign each profile to the correct job or recruiting channel. Check to make sure the information taken from the resume is correct, and then click on Create to create the candidate profiles. Please see an illustration of this below:

Thanks for your query and let me know if you have further questions.

Hello,
Thanks for the reply. I’m not trying to create a candidate summary. I’m trying to do free-text search on CVs that have been submitted. Is that possible?
Thanks
Hi
The CV Parsing function allows you to search for information such as, for example, the name, email address or telephone number but as part of the Create application function. Otherwise, you can utilize the search feature under the Applications tab. You can set filters to narrow your search as appropriate. You will find this under Recruiting > Applications.
Thanks for your follow-up and let me know if I can help further.
Best,
Steve
Thanks Steve,
So is it fair to infer from what you’re saying that there is no free-text search available for CVs?
Eg, if I want to search for all candidates who previously worked at Acme Corp or all candidates who claim to have experience working with Roadrunners then, on other systems, I would be able to search “Acme Corp” or “Roadrunner” in the CVs. But it seems with Personio, the only way to do this is to download _all_ the CVs to my computer and use my computer’s search functionality. Is that correct?
Best,
Matt
Hi
Yes, that’s correct. I can understand why this feature would be useful for you, and I would like to encourage you to post this suggestion of improvement in our Ideation Area. This way, other users will be able to vote for it, and the suggestion will be shared with our Product Team.
In order for us to fully understand your idea, I share with you a couple of questions that your description should clarify when posting in the Ideation Area:
-
What would you like to achieve with Personio? What issue do you need to solve?
-
Why? What would be the added value for you?
-
How are you solving it right now?
The more details, the better! However, remember not to share any personal or business data with the public.
Make sure to add the link to the idea in this thread, so that other users that find your question can upvote it.
Thank you in advance for sharing your ideas with us .
Best,
Steve
Thanks Steve,
I have created
for this.

Matt
