Why are the new Reports/Analytics so slow to refresh? Where is the Manual Force Refresh?

Older Reports have a manual force refresh button.

Where can I find this for the new Report style that Personio makes us use?

It is so frustrating to build a new report, see there are some updates required - want to be able to share it with Manager/Leadership only to see that it takes upwards of 24/48hrs for the data to refresh!

If I’m missing seeing the force refresh button please can someone let me know!

As the top contributors to the community hoping one of you might have the answer to the benefit of the rest of us!

Dear @JHBEM

Thank you so much for raising this concern and sharing your experience—it’s valuable feedback for us!

Currently, the manual "Force Refresh" button that was available in older reports isn’t present in the new Reports/Analytics experience. The Product team is aware of how useful this feature was and is actively considering its return for next year. In the meantime, we’re also investing in improving our data infrastructure so that report refreshes are almost real-time.

At present, data in new reports should update within 1–2 hours at most.

If you’re seeing delays longer than this (such as 24–48 hours), that’s definitely not expected.

If possible, could you share some specific details (report type, data fields, timestamps, etc.)? This will help us flag the issue directly with our technical team for investigation. I think in this case it is best to open a Support Ticket as a Customer Service agent will be able to look into your account.

We know how important it is for you to share the most up-to-date information with your colleagues and leadership, and we’re committed to making this process as smooth as possible. Thank you for your patience and for helping us improve Personio!

Best,
Daniele

It’s also hugely frustrating as when indiviuals update their data fields we want to be able to refresh and export the report or share the report with the updates visible….

It just makes Personio look bad as we have to say we are waiting on Personio to update...

I have raised a support ticket thanks @Daniele I hope you are well.

To be honest 1-2hrs is also too longer.
We are working in Real-time.

So if this can’t be secured automatically we do need the manual option back asap.

Not really clear why the button would be removed - as its definitely a retrograde step rather than an upgrade to lose it.

Hi,

This is a very important topic. I regularly need to take out reports for our management or other purposes. When I notice that some information is missing, I fill it in and I would then expect the report to be up to date immediately. Unfortunately, I don’t have the luxury of waiting for even 15 minutes.

Hi there, I can totally understand your view.
The Product Manager for Analytics will actually host an Ask Me Anything (AMA) in the Community next week. You can write your questions in the thread (launching soon) and she will answer them in writing.
I’d suggest signing up to it so you can address those too.

Thanks @Daniele

The general feedback is the old report had a manual “refresh” button.
The new reports have removed the feature but promised it is an immediate (or near) immediate refresh.

As the refresh is not - we have calls with Director, Executive they want to see the updates in real-time.
We really need that manul “refresh” reinstated.

Or we just have to keep creating “new” reports in the “old” style where the refresh button exists.
