Dear Community,

Sustainability is becoming more and more important. Legal developments are also contributing to the fact that sustainability is becoming increasingly important for companies. For example, the new CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) requires companies to be more transparent and responsible with regard to environmental and social standards.
Β

ℹ️ CSRD: β€œThe Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) is the new EU legislation requiring all large companies and listed SMEs, to publish regular reports on their environmental and social impact activities. i...] The new CSRD entered into force on 5 January 2023.” - Plan A

As an employer that meets these guidelines, you are not only legally protected, but you also signal that you stand for a sustainable future.
Β

What does this mean for HR?

Well, the priorities of talent in the job market have changed: More and more employees are looking for companies that go beyond their economic goals and actively demonstrate responsibility for the environment and society. Especially in recruiting, it is therefore becoming increasingly important for HR professionals to emphasise the importance of sustainability and sustainable actions.
Β

According to study by Statista, 56% of all employees find sustainability in companies important. (Note: Study conducted in Germany)

Β

☝️ The motivation for talent here is to play an active role in making a positive difference and contributing to environmental protection.

In terms of delivery, the most important thing is consistency: Sustainability should be anchored in the company and the corporate strategy, only then can it be communicated authentically and serve as a differentiator for recruiting new talent.
