API - vacation days total empty, and vacation days balance doesn't match employee profile

Good afternoon - I hope you are having a great start to the week,

We included vacation days total, and vacation days balance to the API, and we noticed the following:

Vacation days total values don’t match with any value on the employee’s vacation balance, nor with Paid vacation – Carryover from previous year, Paid vacation – Entitlement, Paid vacation – Entitlement, Paid vacation – Entitlement values included in a custom report.

What does Vacation days total from API reffer to?

Vacation days balance values are empty for most active employees, where is the data comming from?
