one day remote working accrual policy

We intend to roll-out the time off module as of January 2026 however we struggle because in our company people are only allowed to work one day from home.

The accrual policy for remote working in Personio only allows for a monthly contingent but not a weekly. Therefore, this does not work for us. People should be able to capture this one day without any approval. If needed, HR can approve additional days of remote working on an individual basis.

Does anyone have an idea on a workaround?

Hi @BAW

I don’t think it’s possible to show this in Personio as you wish.

However, as a workaround you could still set up the time off type with the monthly granting method and create a report where you have to manually track the weekly usage of this.

Alternatively, you could look into the possibility to just grant them monthly and employees are free to use them flexibly. But that’s just an idea. :-)

Hi @BAW

I don’t know if I would be of any help, as we don’t differentiate between working remotely and being in the office with regards to time off - but this article might help in terms of settings? Review your time off setup – Personio
