Hi @ZaheerA ,
Thank you for your question!
Personio calculates prorated entitlement depending on how many days a week your employees work. This means, that the system does not take working hours, but working days into consideration. If your part-time employees work 5 days a week, the tool will give them a full entitlement because of the explained. The proration of absences in Personio is helpful for those employees who work less than 5 days a week, since in this case the system calculates the entitlement automatically.
For part-time employees that work 5 days a week, the best solution is to create an accrual policy specifically, granting them the entitlement they should actually have. Another option is creating an accrual policy with 0 days and adding the entitlement of employees through an import.
The following help center articles will serve as a guidance for this setting:
→ Vacation entitlement for part-time employees
→ Create an accrual policy
→ Assign accrual policies
I hope I could answer your question with this information. Please let me know if you have any further questions about this topic!
