Hello,
I was setting up the different offices’ different holiday calendars per country and noticed something for Bulgaria:
New Year's Day: 01.01.2023 - Sunday
Liberation Day: 03.03.2023 - Friday
Orthodox Good Friday: 14.04.2023 - Friday
Orthodox Holy Saturday: 15.04.2023 - Saturday
Orthodox Easter Day: 16.04.2023 - Sunday
Orthodox Easter Monday: 17.04.2023 - Monday
Labour Day: 01.05.2023 - Monday
St. George's Day: 06.05.2023 - Saturday
Culture and Literacy Day: 24.05.2023 - Wednesday
Unification Day: 06.09.2023 - Wednesday
Independece Day: 22.09.2023 - Friday
Christmas Eve: 24.12.2023 - Sunday
Christmas Day: 25.12.2023 - Monday
Christmas Holiday: 26.12.2023 - Tuesday
Currently, per law, if a national holiday falls on a weekend, the 1st working day right after it, usually the Monday if the Monday itself is not a holiday, becomes a bank holiday in the country (similarly to how it works in the UK for example). Respectively, in 2023, 2 January, 8 May, and 27 December are also bank holidays.
This makes a difference when reporting people’s attendance. Thought I’d flag it.
Best,
Stefan
