Hey everyone,

An employee changed their working pensum from 40% to 50% in August. Hence, I want to update the Vacation policy accordingly - from 40% to 50%. Unfortunately, The system only lets me chose the current period starting on January 2024 or the previous period starting in January 2025.

How is it possible to select a specific date - e.g. August 1st 2024 - as the change date for the adjusted vacation policy?

Thank you very much in advance!

Best,
Katharina

Hello

Provided you have it set up that way, the Annual leave/ absence allowance will automatically prorate when you adjust the working pattern in the attendance tab.

You would need to assign an absence policy that is FTE and then change their working pattern so they are doing 40% January-July (or however long that has been their working pattern) and then 50% for August.

Thank you very much @People Person
May I ask what FTE means?
Again, thank you!!

Sorry, full time equivalent. So their holiday policy should be set up to give them the number of holiday days they would receive if they are full time, then the working pattern is used to pro-rate this to the % of working hours they are actually working.

For example, if an employee works 4 days per week and would receive 25 days per year if they worked full time hours, they should be assigned a 25 day policy, their attendance tab would then be set up to show they work 4/5 days and then Personio would automatically adjust their holiday down to 20 days.

OK makes sense, thanks @People Person luckily we have the automated prorata activated, so I can probably leave it as it is.

Hi @People Person ,

Thanks for sharing this information with @Katharina Buhrke!

I agree with @People Person, but you can also check this article for further details, I hope this is helpful.

Wishing you a great day!

Best,

Valentina 😀
