Hi,

is there an option to transform overtime not only into paid leave, but also to compensation days?

Hi @Carina,

yes, there is! :)

There are 2 ways to manage overtime compensation with compensatory time off.

  • With an absence type that has an accrual policy. You therefore setup an absence type, similar to paid vacation, just that the accrual policy that you add has 0 days. You have to assign the 0 days policy to all employees who are obliged to take compensatory time off. After this you can convert the hours into days of this extra created absence type.
→ This is the approach you have started.
  • With automatic deficit hours + create an absence type which is set up similarly to home office so that colleagues just get an information. The overtime hours are automatically reduced in the attendance tab when there is no entry and the absence type must be set to “Consider time tracked during absences as overtime” with “no”.
→ I have added this option, in case you weren’t aware of and it might be easier for you.

Does this help you?

Best,
Lena
