Hi,

I need help with setting up an employee who is entitled to 25 days paid holidays per year with 5 days carry over from previous year. What would this look like when setting up please ?

Hi @Paulacul

to be honest the simplest way is to just add the extra 5 days into the new year.

It also depends if you are using calendar or non-calendar annual leave renewal.

I tried using the Personio in-built tool and it caused negative entitlement calculations.

Message me direct if you like - but I’m sure a Personio person will be able to jump on a call with you.

just to add we are setting up a UK+IE community group to help.

Hi JHBEM

Thanks so much for your help with this topic.

Kind regards

Paula

Hi @Paulacul were you able to set this up?
Let us know if you need any additional assistance.

Thank you so much @JHBEM for jumping in :)

Best,
Daniele

Hi @Paulacul

I just had a chat with my colleague @Lena who proposed an additional solution.

Depending on the following:

A) Is only one employee affected?

B) Is this the rule on a continued basis? Or a one-time adjustment?

If it is a one time decision, I would definitely go with the manual adjustment as @JHBEM  suggested. :)

On the other hand, in case it is a long time setting, we recommend to set up a different absence type with the 25 days accrual policy and the carry over rule. The limit of 5 days currently can not be set by an absence in days. This is something that needs to be checked and if necessary be adjusted manually.
Though I'd recommend to use the carryover, because you always have an overview of the carryover days.

Regarding the access rights, everyone can have propose rights for their own newly created absence type, as only the people with an assigned accrual policy have the visibility and are able to request an absence.

Hope this helps!

Best,

Daniele
