please double-check first if they are not visible for the employee or if also you as admin can’t see them anymore.
There is always the option to pull a company data export (time off periods) to find out when something was requested and how much.
In case the absences really got deleted please double-check who has edit rights and has deleted those. In case there is no logic explanation, and you need support, looking in your account as something doesn’t seem correct from the system, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our Personio Support, via find answers.

thank you Lena for your reply, can i apply the company data export myself to view this or the request has to come through Personio?

you can pull the export yourself, as long as you do have admin access rights.
If you have them, you can navigate the following way to trigger the export:
- Navigate to Settings > Organization > Company
- Click Create new data export
