Personio will discontinue the Performance tab. This is quite a loss for the companies that used this (free) account. You should fix the data yourself, and if you want to use Performance features, you must pay.

Personio provides information about how to export data from the Performance tab. You still get a million documents from this export; they are all .csv files with a lot of computer language. There needs to be a manual on how to do this.

[This screenshot was removed because it contained private data]

So this means it’s pretty difficult to save the company data from the Performance tab. It feels like Personio leaves us hanging and doesn’t provide a proper solution. I increasingly get the feeling the primary product will be more and more essential, and you need to pay for all the ‘extra’ features (which should be standard, in my opinion).

Hi @btsmerchstore

thank you for your feedback, I definitely don’t want you to feel left alone. :)
I am happy to link you the documentation that I have recorded in the December Personio Product Update. Here I have shown how exactly you can pull the information.
Have you seen this already?

Here you also find the paths of the different information that you might want to export:

Another user with questions regarding the Performance Data Download wrote us too, you are welcome to read through the thread, maybe something is helpful for you too. :)

Regarding the communication of the Performance Tab, I understand that this is a feature that not everyone needs to have extended. Though we have received a lot of feedback that the performance functions were not sufficient. That is why we have invested in this area to help you and other Personio users with employee development, as this is an essential part of employee satisfaction. We are making these changes to align our software with both customer needs and our vision of more automation.

The old Performance tab was very manual and basic in functionality. The new Performance & Development feature allows you, or in some cases already allows you and some things to come, to set up workflows, trainings and automate the whole process. This gives the HR department more control and overview over the performance and development of your employees. "Performance & Development" is (similar to "Recruiting") a separate component of the software, which is no longer included in one of our versions, but is offered as an add-on. A separate product team has also been set up to focus on this area and to develop it further.

I hope this helps you to understand the change a little bit better and that you are able to retrieve the data out of the company export like this. Please let me know in case you wish support with something in the process or where you believe that something has helped you and might be important for others as well. Fell free to mention me, then I see it much better. :)

Best
Lena

I completely agree with you @btsmerchstore . I do not understand how Personio deletes a section  where companies have been saving important and sensitive information over time. And they’ve made it so difficult for clients to recover the info.
The report downloaded is a nightmare and implies a lot of time&resources to put it in a readable format. If you convert, at this point, the Performances published into PDF docs it will all be saved with the date you are converting it! instead of transferring the correct date the file was created, so you lose the performance timeline from all your employees.
We have also noticed we’ve been missing information on the downloads… clients have no way of verifying that all the info has been recovered.

For sure, there are many other ways Personio could have done this in a more friendly and supportive way.
