We have two types of annual leave on the system: statutory and non-statutory. We separated them out, as each has different carry over rules. Statutory has to be used up first before an employee can start requesting non-statutory. However, people are having difficulties remembering this and we get people booking leave in the wrong order on a regular basis. Are there any settings that we could utilise in this scenario to only make the non-statutory leave available for booking after statutory has been used up?

Hi Agata,

This is not something that is currently possible in Personio.

What may help is setting up a workflow in the automations section that sends an email when the employee when they request the non-statutory leave, reminding them they need to have used all the statutory leave first before using the non-statutory.

This will help remind/ teach people the new way of booking leave.

Hi @Agata and @People Person,

This is currently possible within Personio, there has been recently a release for the setup of Accrual policies that is specially designed for the NL market.

This new release makes it possible to have Statutory leave and Non-Statutory leave under one Accrual policy

Here you will find more information regarding this new Accrual policySet up statutory and non-statutory entitlement

Best,

Sofia
