Workflow and notification for the consecutive paid leave more than certain days.
Hi all,
I would like to create a workflow to notify the supervisor that they should appoint someone as back up when his/her team member asks for the “paid leave” for more than certain days.
I know there has a similar workflow for consecutive days, but it is only for sick leave. If I choose “an absence exceeds limit” as a trigger, it means the absence days are the accumulated days, not a consecutive days, right?
Thanks.

Hi @SnowV,
There is a Workflow template called Long vacation notification, when an employee requests a vacation that is longer than a defined period.
You can select the limit in days for the Absence type of your choice.
For the remaining steps, you can decide to set a Notification and / or assign a Task.
There is an option to select the Supervisor of the absent person as the assignee of the Task.
If you would like more information about the configuration, you can consult our Helpcenter article:
I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have further questions.
I wish you a lovely afternoon.
Regards,
Weena
Hi Weena,
Thanks for your reply. This duration you mentioned in the workflow template is total absence days, not consecutive days, right? I tried once the template for other leave type for 10 days, but it reminds me even if an employee only take 1 day sick leave. Thanks.
Best regards,
SnowV
Hi @SnowV ,
It is the total of Absence days. For example if an employee works from Monday to Friday and requests 2 weeks off, the total of Absence days is 10.
I created a Workflow to send a Notification if an employee takes more than 10 days.
The Workflow was triggered when the employee requested 11 days of Paid vacation.
