Personio is not responsible for the individual consent of employees. In our AVV/Addendum it is outlined that:
3.1 The Controller shall be responsible for its own compliance with the GDPR in relation to the use of the Software and Services (as applicable).

Under GDPR, processing personal data may not require employee consent if it’s necessary for the performance of a contract (such as employment) or to comply with legal obligations. Consent might not be needed if Personio is being used purely for administrative purposes within the company, like managing payroll, data enrichment, or similar necessary functions.
