Hi @Moe, do you by chance know anyone who might be able to answer or share?
@SabbuSchreiber I’m on the hunt for an answer as we speak, apologies for the delay!
@Moe no worries and thank you as always
Hi @SabbuSchreiber! So, I’ve gotten some insight into this from a wonderful colleague of mine.
This latest update makes it so that new joiners don’t have to login to Personio to get started. Instead, they receive an email inviting them to create their Personio profile after they’ve been hired. Once the new joiner clicks on the invite link, they’re taken step-by-step through setting up their profile on Personio. The different here is that new joiners don’t have to log in to Personio and are invited via email, streamlining this part of onboarding.
You can add this to an onboarding template to get started on using this new feature!
Does that help at all?
Hi @Moe,
Thank you for clarifying this!
So do I understand this correctly that we could send this out to their private email address once the employment contract has been signed but before their hire date? And once they’ve started, send them a Personio invite to their work email?

Hi @SabbuSchreiber!
I believe this is indeed the case, just waiting on confirmation from my colleague to be sure!
Yep just confirmed:
New employees can get invited on their personal email address first for pre-boarding. Then, on day 1, when they get their business email, this will need to be changed manually in Personio. Once their email is changed on their Personio profile from the personal one to the business one, they can be sent another invite email prompting them to change their password with this new business email.
Does that make sense @SabbuSchreiber?
Thanks @Moe, you’re amazing!
