Hi all,

A few months back I participated in the FutureLab and one of the previews was connected to Employment Changes, including change requests & approval workflows.

Does anyone know if this is something that’s going to be released sometime soon? or if there’s any estimated timeline on this? 😊

We could really use this feature and I was hoping we could update our processes with this soon. 🙃

Hi @SabbuSchreiber ! Just wanted to say I am searching for the relevant colleague to get an answer for you 😊

Thanks Moe 🤗

Hi @SabbuSchreiber I am the Product Manager running the Employment Changes initiative. Improving the experience HR teams have managing the employee lifecycle through Employment Changes is a major focus for us, and will be over much of 2026. We are pretty early in the build process though, so unfortunately no precise timeline for me to share here.
Till then, I would love to hear more about the processes where you feel we could add value. What kind of employee lifecycle events take up most of your time, or are the biggest pains to manage? Why?

Hi @Sebastian C,

Thank you very much for the update, I really appreciate it. 😊

One of our biggest challenges at the moment is the multistep approval process for employment changes such as promotions, off-cycle salary increases, position or department changes, workload updates, and requests to backfill or create new roles.

Right now, employees or their supervisors need to either open a ticket or send an email to the People Team. From there, we have to collect approvals from Heads of Department and sometimes even from the Executive level, which turns into a lot of chasing.

Having a dedicated submission and approval workflow for these changes could make the process much smoother and more efficient. Once the request reaches the People Team, we can proceed with the necessary updates, and ideally, once changes have been approved, the respective attributes or settings would be automatically updated or scheduled in the system.

Does that make sense? 🙂

Makes sense, and pretty aligned with the core of what we are working on. Looking forward to hear how your workflow improves when we release. If you are interested in sharing more, I would be happy to schedule a short call and dig into some details. It could help us refine our ideas.

Hi @Sebastian C,

sure, I’d be happy to chat! :-) Let me know what works for you or do you have a booking link?

I will DM you 😀

Just jumping on this thread to echo what @SabbuSchreiber has said about this functionality - it would be a game changer 😊
