Holiday Calenders via API / Retrieve public holidays via API

Unfortunately the old post on this is not accessible any more (https://personio-eu.insided.com/attendances-absences-87/getting-the-number-of-absence-days-through-the-api-1373)

So I dare to repost:

We have built a customized slack app via API with personio.

Is there a way to retrieve the public holidays from the different calendars / countries / offices that we activated in personio for our company (imaa.personio.com)?

We would want to post this as a morning brief in one of our channels.

 Hi @cbk,

Unfortunately we only have these options:

  • Who is absent today and until when?
  • Who has a birthday today?
  • Which employees have their first day in our company today?
  • Which employees have a work anniversary today?

Here you will find more information regarding: Slack.

I’ve looked for similar ideas in our ideation area , but couldn’t find one yet.

Thx for your answer.

What about a workaround: Can we synch all holiday calendars in one outlook calendar and use MS Graph?

Any input for the Personio team?

Hi @cbk,

You do have the possibility to add the Public holidays to your Outlook Calendar with Ical.

  1. Go to Calendars.
  2. Click Recruiting_Three_Dots?auto=webp&format=png&position=1?t=1703254779575  and select Subscribe.
  3. Choose the absences you want to subscribe to in the Calendar type. (in this case Public holidays)
  4. Define the Department, Team and Office that you wish to subscribe absences for.
  5. Click Generate Link.
  6. Click Copy Link.
  7. Follow the instructions in the section Import absence types into a calendar app below.

Here you will find more information regarding: Add Personio Calendar via an iCal link.

Hope you have a lovely day.

Best,

Sofia
