Hi There,

My company recently started working with Personio for human resource management. We use google workspace and have been trying to integrate our company mail account with personio to sent and receive  emails.

Basically, we have been following the steps listed here at Personio help page: https://support.personio.de/hc/en-us/articles/208037325-How-to-send-an-email-from-the-company-s-own-SMTP-server?utm_medium=email&utm_source=makro

We were able to complete the receiving part (email forwarding to personio inbox) but hasn’t been able to complete the sending part (SMTP integration with gmail to send email from personio) due to some reason.

We tried SMTP, SMTP-RELAY and IMAP services and none of them seemed to have worked, but haven’t been able to provide the required values here for host and port. Can someone who have resolved this issue please help.

Thank you for reaching out to the community with your question!  This might help you to Set Up an SMTP Connection Between Personio and Google Apps.

Requirements for setting up an SMTP Connection between Personio and Google Apps:

Authentication

Before setting up an SMTP connection with Personio, ensure that account access is activated for the desired account using less secure apps.

Ports

•    465 with SSL
•    587 with TLS

SMTP Server

To connect your own Google email account to Personio, use the Gmail SMTP server (smtp.gmail.com).
This option enables you to send emails to anyone inside or outside your domain.

Notes: 

▶️︎ G Suite SMTP relay service (smtp-relay.gmail.com) is not supported by Personio.
▶️︎ Restricted Gmail SMTP server (aspmx.I.google.com) is not compatible with Personio because messages can only be sent within Gmail.
