Hi, after the recent update to the Performance area, I can't find an option to leave the due date unset for a cycle. This feature is especially useful for Probation Period cycles, which we conduct for all new employees, as we need no deadline (or a flexible deadline) rather than a fixed due date.

Is there a way to leave this field blank or to input a null value?

Hello PavelSK,

I don’t think you can leave this date blank with the new cycle builder.

Nonetheless, a workaround could be to put the end date very far from the current date, and change it when you are getting closer. Because now one big advantage of the new cycle builder is that you can change the dates while the cycle is on going.

I know it’s not optimal but let me know if it could work for your situation.

Regards,
Nathan

Hi @Nathan Jolly

That’s exactly how I handled this so far, the only problem is that people are getting a due date that is not actually relevant and misleading to them

Hi @PavelSK,

Unfortunately you will have to add an End date, a good workaround as Nathan mentioned is to set up a date as far as possible.

I would encourage you to send this idea/feedback/suggestion through the new ‘Give feedback’ feature directly in your Personio account. Submissions will be forwarded directly to the relevant product teams. You can find more information in this community post.

If there is an update in this area, you will be informed through our Personio Product Updates or via an in-app notification.

Have a lovely day!

Best,

Sofia
