Hi, we initially received an applicant that put a “gmail.com” email address as their email. When we sent emails to them, the applicant receives it, but then the applicant responded with a “googlemail.com” address. Google resolves both to the same account/email but Personio creates separate profiles for them. Google emails are also case-insensitive, and ignores dots (.)

I think Personio should be able to automatically resolve this case, even if it takes adding special rules to handle it, given the number of users that uses gmail as their provider to apply.

Every now and then we also receive duplicate profiles because Personio can’t resolve them to the same person. Is there a way to manually combine the two profiles?

Hi @Edge5801,

I agree that this would be a good improvement. Therefore, I would encourage you to send this suggestion through the new Give feedback feature directly in your Personio account. To do this, go to Help & Feedback > Give feedback. Submissions will be forwarded directly to the relevant Product Teams. You can find more information in this community post.

If there is an update in this area, you will be informed through our Personio Product Updates or via an in-app notification.

Have a lovely day! 😀

Best,

Steve
