Hi everyone, I’m looking for a solution to create a report with the following information:

  • sickness absence frequency rate: The absence frequency (AF) concerns a standard for the average number of absence notifications per employee, converted to an annual basis
  • The average duration of absence (ADOA): You add up all the days everyone is absent and divide that by how many times people were absent. This gives you an idea of how long, on average, each absence lasts. If it's a low number, it means people tend to be back at work relatively quickly when they're absent.

Is this possible within Personio?

Thanks a lot!

Hi @JGrassl,

When it comes to Reports, you can check our System reports - navigate to Reports > Your Reports.

Considering the information you’re looking for, you will need two different reports, as the absence rate and the absence average cannot be merged in the same report at the moment.

  • For the absence frequency, you can use our Absence rate report: this report (which doesn’t support decimal places) is calculated based on working days (Mon-Fri, excluding holidays). You can calculate the absence rate for a specific time period based on the absence types you want to analyze - for example: sick leaves. The report is displayed as a line chart in the upper section of the report, followed by a table of percentages.
  • However, for the average duration of absences, our Absence distribution report may help you: in fact, this report shows how days of absence are distributed among weekdays over the last six months. The absences are shown as a color-coded bar chart in the upper section of the report, followed by a table of percentages (without a decimal place).

Anyway, I’d encourage you to send this suggestion through the new Give feedback feature directly in your Personio account. Submissions will be forwarded directly to the relevant product teams. You can find more information in this community post.

If there’s an update in this area, you will be informed through our Personio Product Updates or via an in-app notification.

I hope this helps you with your query.

Take care!

Best,
