Can we somehow archive work schedules which are no longer used to shorten the list/options a bit? 🤔

There is no possibility to archive working schedules, however there is the option to delete them. However I would not recommend this as if an employee had this working schedule activated at all during their time within your organization, it will delete this from their profile and re-calculate based on the previously activated schedule. Therefore it would cause a lot of trouble 😄
I agree it would be useful for an archival option to be put into Personio, so that you can remove them for selection without affecting employees history. Therefore I would kindly ask that you submit this idea into our Ideation Area.
