Hi all,

I'm struggling to set up a half-year policy. For a specific absence we grant 2 days semiannually, which means that if someone doesn't use these 2 days during first half of the year, these time off days should expire and employees should get another 2 days which they could use until the end of the year.

The only setting I see is the yearly one, not the semi-annual one.

Does anyone know how I can set this up?

Thanks!

Hi @help_needed,

Currently, if no carryover is allowed, the carryover expires at the end of the accrual year. A mid-year expiration can currently not be set up.

As a workaround, you are able to set up a policy with 0 days entitlement and then work with importing relative adjustments for time off.

Within those relative adjustments, you are able to set individual expiration dates.

You can find our import template in Settings > Imports. Choose Option “Time off balance” and then choose the advance template.

You can find on the import here:

I would encourage you to send this idea through the new ‘Give feedback’ feature directly in your Personio account. Submissions will be forwarded directly to the relevant product teams. You can find more information in this community post.

Best,

Katharina
