We have three Remote Work absence types: Working From Home, On training/At a conference, and Traveling. This is purely for others to know where people are during the week for planning purposes. However, when our co-workers want to register these absence types in their calendars, they get the options to either ‘Skip Approval’ or to ‘Request’ the absence. I’ve checked, but ‘Requesting’ does not send the request to the supervisor….it automatically approves it, as does ‘Skip Approve’, so actually the ‘Request’ button is a bit misleading. Is there a way to remove this?

Hi - I don’t believe there is an option to remove the ‘Request’ button, even when there is no approval process for a specific type of absence.

Perhaps something to request that Personio look at, through their Feedback process…?

Hi @Ingkaf

The options to ‘request’ or ‘skip approval’ are based off what access you have given them in their role permissions, if you have given them ‘edit’ rights they will be able to skip approval. It sounds like you don’t have an approval workflow set up for these absence types, which is why request auto-approves it.

You wouldn’t be able to remove the ‘request’ option, however, if you want there to only be one option, you can have it so they only have the ‘request’ option by changing the role permissions for those absence types from ‘edit’ to ‘propose’

I hope this helps!
