We currently have our company calendar integrated, however, every time someone books time off, the absence is recorded in their personal calendar but not the team calendar.
Is there any way to change this so that absences are recorded on both personal calendars and the wider team calendar?

Could you explain what you mean by personal and team calendar?
Your team can sync their absences in a third-party calendar using Personio in two ways:

iCal Link: You can subscribe to a Personio Calendar on third-party apps like Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, and Outlook via an iCal link. This allows you to see colleagues' absences on an external calendar app. The calendar updates automatically, with the update frequency depending on the settings of the third-party app.

Calendar Integration: You can set up a calendar integration that syncs approved absences and recruiting interviews with your company calendar. This integration only needs to be set up once for all employees.

If you’re already using the Calendar Integration, Personio should already transfer your absences to your company calendar.

To explain further, we already have the calendar integration set up, but the problem is the absences are recorded on everyone’s personal calendars. For example, if I book time off, my manager would only be able to see the absence in g-cal by subscribing to my personal calendar and checking there.
We have a wider company calendar which everyone has access to and this is where we log company events, meetings etc. This is where I would like the absences to be recorded as currently employees are expected to manually book their time off on the company calendar which is not effective as many people forget to do so meaning the calendar is never fully accurate.
From what I understand, the ical link will allow me to create a new calendar with everyone’s absences but that doesn’t solve my problem. I’m trying to understand how I can integrate the absences into the specific company wide calendar which already exists.
Do you know how this would be possible?

Unfortunately, this is something not currently possible.
When creating an iCal link, you do create a new calendar with everyone’s absences being displayed on the top of your Google Calendar:
As you’ve already integrated your company calendar with Personio, all the absences are transmitted to your people’s calendar, and they will see when a colleague is absent by searching for their email address in the search bar:
I’d encourage you to send this idea through the new Give feedback feature directly in your Personio account. Submissions will be forwarded directly to the relevant product teams. You can find more information in this community post.

It’s a shame this isn’t possible, but thank you for the explanation.
I now have another question. I have created the calendar via Ical link but I would like to share the calendar with colleagues through google’s share function in the calendar settings as opposed to just sharing a public URL and asking employees to manually add the calendar.
Is this possible at all? Is there any way to import the absences into a new calendar that I can share with colleagues?

You can definitely ask your employees to manually add the iCal link to their calendar.
Unfortunately, I am not an expert in Google suite, but you can check their Help Center, to make sure that there are other available options to share the iCal link.
