Hi,

We are loking to implement Microsoft SSO to our Personio.

When we are onboarding new staff before their first day the new staff use a personal email address to access their Personio profile, and on their first day their account is set to their company email address on Personio.

My question is if we implement SSO will the onboarding staff still be able to access their Personio profile with their Personal Email address or will SSO block this?  Is there a way to have SSO on for most user but off for the onboarding employees?

Kind Regards,

Alan

Hi @kavanelli

to login via SSO, the email address of the Personio profile has to match the email address in Microsoft Entra. That is why users with a private email address probably won’t be able to login via SSO, unless you store the private email address in Entra as well.

It is possible to make the login via SSO optional. This way your employees can decide whether they wanna login to Personio via SSO or via email address and password. However, you cannot make it optional for a specific group of employees, it’s either all of them or none 🙂

Best,
Christoph

Hi Christoph,

Thank you for your reply, that makes complete sense. I was wondering if there were profiles that you could assign to users.

In the case of Onboarders because they are not yet employees but we want them to be able to update their profile with specific details we need for them to join.
